Why Not?
Texas lacks reciprocal real estate broker agreements with any other states. That meant that in order to obtain my license elsewhere, I would have to pay hundreds of dollars for classes and pass multiple exams.
Together with this, there
are statutes pertaining to crimes, misdemeanors, and deferred charges—called
deferred probation in some jurisdictions and adjudication withheld in
others—that must be followed.
To sum up, I don't need
extra complexity in my life—there are already plenty of people in Texas who are
in need of my assistance.
